This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every user of the Rayn VPN service and is part of our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account with no refund.
1. General rule
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in every jurisdiction where you use it. You alone are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service is lawful in your location.
2. Prohibited activities
You must not use the Service to:
2.1 Commit or facilitate unlawful acts
- Engage in, enable, or facilitate any activity that violates applicable criminal law
- Distribute, receive, or access any material depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of children, or any other material that is illegal in your jurisdiction to possess or transmit
- Engage in human trafficking, terrorism financing, money laundering, or the illegal drug or weapons trade
- Violate U.S. or other applicable export-control and sanctions laws
2.2 Harm others
- Threaten, harass, stalk, defame, or harm any person
- Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious code
- Engage in unauthorized access to any computer system or network, including probing, scanning, or testing for vulnerabilities without authorization
- Conduct denial-of-service or distributed-denial-of-service attacks
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or other forms of commercial solicitation in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act or equivalent laws
2.3 Infringe intellectual property
- Distribute, download, or otherwise transmit material that infringes another party's copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secret without authorization
- Disable or interfere with technological protection measures in violation of applicable law
2.4 Abuse the Service
- Share, resell, or sublicense your account or Subscription to any other party
- Operate a public relay, mail server, exit node, proxy, or VPN reseller using the Service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software except to the extent permitted by non-waivable law
- Use automated means to connect more devices than your plan allows
- Interfere with security or access controls of the Service
3. Fair-use and bandwidth
Rayn Subscriptions are intended for individual, interactive use. While we do not impose fixed bandwidth caps, sustained automated traffic that is inconsistent with ordinary consumer use (including but not limited to running high-volume scraping, crypto-mining, or commercial file-distribution workloads) may trigger rate-limiting or account review.
4. Reporting abuse
If you believe another user is violating this AUP, or if you have received abuse from our network, email abuse@raynlabs.io. Copyright infringement notices should follow the procedure in our DMCA Policy.
5. Enforcement
We investigate reported violations. If we find a violation, we may (at our discretion):
- Issue a warning
- Rate-limit or restrict the offending account
- Suspend the account pending investigation
- Terminate the account without refund
- Cooperate with law enforcement where we are legally required to
Because we do not retain connection logs, we generally cannot attribute specific traffic to specific users; our enforcement focuses on account-level indicators (payment abuse, brute-force login attempts, reports from third parties).
6. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP. Updates take effect when posted here. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
